Be Still My Gamer Dreams
Hi. My name is Robin and I am a gamer. The Elder Scrolls are my addiction.
My happy place. The maker of all things magical.
I cannot wait to write my own story again!

Wicked in Your Arms
By Sophie Jordan
Avon
July 26th, 2011
ISBN#: 978-0062032997
Amazon
One of the most notoriously eligible bachelors in Europe is finally ready to marry . . .
For fiercely independent Grier Hadley, being the illegitimate daughter of one of London's most unsavory characters has only one advantage: an enormous, ill-gotten dowry.
Prince Sevastian Maksimi knows where his duty lies: he must find a well-bred young lady-one with a considerable fortune to her name-wed her promptly, and get to the business of producing an heir.
The last thing Grier needs is some unattainable prince curling her toes with his smoldering glances and wicked suggestions. As far as Sev is concerned, she lacks the breeding to become a princess. And yet one kiss from this arresting female is all it takes for him to realize that anyone else in his arms would be unthinkable.

This, That and Absence
So I have not been around. Anywhere. I am so sorry and have missed my fellow bloggers and readers a ton. Our business has been insane since we returned from Authors After Dark, which is great for the pocket book but not so much for the reading and blogging. I do have a couple of reviews scheduled to post and more books I am reading for review right now.
On the business front book cover design is going well. I have a steady stream of authors and am updating my portfolio frequently. I am still doing design primarily for self published authors, but have also worked with a publishing company. Very exciting!
We are still deciding is we want to continue living in the frozen north or travel to places more comfortable. In this we are still considering Florida, South Carolina and Washington. Washington!? Yes, because perhaps the south will be too HOT. Sigh...
I have gotten completely addicted to Facebook games. I must physically restrain myself from pushing the SHARE with world buttons constantly. Because really, you all do not care if I have a new lama. On a good note, the games work as great intensives for the kids. If they do well at school I let them try new ones.
We have not more vacations planned and life is becoming a bit more settled. I hope to start blogging regularly again.
I know I need to do some contests again!
What has everyone else been up to?

I Too Remember
On September 11, 2001 I was working in a darkened room doing digital imaging along with a co-worker friend doing video transfer/splicing. Her small 13 inch TV monitors told the story. To this day I remember that day as a hazy dream. Something too absurd to be real. I have no recollection of the rest of my afternoon. Or of that evening. But to this day I am mesmerized by the compassion and sacrifice made by the 9/11 heroes. By the outpouring of blood, service and national pride.
Before 9/11 I did not understand terrorism, it was only a word I knew of. That day taught me that evil is not singular. That humans are capable of both great devastation and then of great sacrifice. 9/11 taught me what it means to be an American. What it means to love my country and fellow citizens. The support from friendly nations was incredible and we all KNEW that justice would be served.
Today on September 11, 2011 I want to thank all of the men and women who protect our nation both past and present. The leaders who protect our freedoms. I want to send my love to those families who lost loved ones. There are not enough tears in the world to express the agony of 9/11, but hopefully with united strength we can again live and dream.

AAD 2012 Registration
The registration for Authors After Dark 2012
has opened and is filling fast!
Authors After Dark is a for readers by authors event, focused on the reader author relationship. No other convention lets you get this much quality time with authors in such a unique setting. Readers and authors alike are encouraged to let their hair down and get to know each other and talk about the one thing that really brings us all together: Books!
This year’s event will slightly different from past years, as AAD will be forgoing the normal vendor room and workshops, to make room for author field trips and exploring one of the greatest cities in this country! Panels, parties and the book signing are all still there, but with a Cajun flair…
Authors After Dark will run in 2012 from Wednesday, August 8th at 7pm to Sunday, August 12th at Noon.
You can find more information on the AAD Website!

Blood Moon Betrayed - Trailer
Blood Moon Betrayed - a Book by Teresa D'Amario
I love the intensity of this trailer, the howls and the music!
Book 3 of the True Mates Series
Sean left his pack, searching for an inner peace destroyed when his one daughter was shot and the other kidnapped and tortured. Not to mention his mate had left him. He gave up his position as pack leader and headed out to the woods. But when he found a woman being beaten by two humans, he is jolted by the realization she's his True mate.
Caden lives in fear, and at last her terror has caught up with her. Her ex-husband has decided it's time for her to die. Just as she's about to breathe her last, a man tells her everything is going to be okay.
But how can it be, when her ex-husband still wants her dead?
And once Sean brings her back to his home, secrets are revealed, and it seems no one is going to be okay. For as the blood moon rises in the October sky, betrayal is in the wind, and upon it floats the scent of death.

AAD 2011 Friends and Authors
First, let me apologize for the tardiness of this post. The summer is wrapping up so quickly and time has escaped me. But late or not, I did want to share my author/blogger/reader experiences and relationships from Authors After Dark 2011. There is nothing quite like the atmosphere of AAD.
A perfect beginning... I ended up in an elevator with author Jennifer Armintrout (Abigail Barnette) to start the conference. Which is in so many ways perfect. Being that I ended the last AAD conference in the same way. I personally think the fates have made us electronic box buddies and I could not ask for a better one.
Once entering the lobby, I met with with fellow blogger Larissa from Larissa's Bookish Life. She is so incredibly kind. Then I was off to meet up with author/convention director, Stella Price, and the other staff of AAD to see in any help was needed. I was greeted by the ever-smiling authors' PJ Schnyder and Tilly Greene. Then came the phenomenon herself, Stella! It was so fantastic to greet Stella again after so much time working on AAD promotions!
On the way to registration, the next morning, I heard a GASP and then, "There she is!". It was the beautiful author Bronwyn Green whom I had the privilege to do some design work for. What an incredible feeling, to be recognized and hugged by an author excited to see me.
The reunions just kept coming. At registration I ran into Jodie from JoJo's Book Corner and the beautiful Mama Sally. JoJo was my roomie from 2010 and I could not wait to hug again. I think I would go to AAD just for the chance to get hugs from my networking friends!
Then Larissa Ione stopped behind me in the registration line. LARISSA. IONE. Just being the the pressence of such a celebrated author was worth registration. Hell, I would have walked to AAD! She is so incredibly friendly, generous and easy to speak with. I found myself gravitating toward her the whole convention. But NOT in a creepy way. I think. *giggles*
Walking back from registration with JoJo, she stopped, pointed and said "That's Lara Adrian. I actually caught my breathe for a moment and stared. Wondering to myself if poking her to make sure she was real would be appropriate.
After registration, came the panels, workshops, events and parties. AAD is so flush with awesome people that it can be a bit overwhelming. I am certain I spent the entire time walking around with a dazed grin.
I got to joke about children with Erin Kellison, plot a story with Erin, Judi Fennell, Melissa Ecker, and the lovely Jessa Slade. Meet with the best and funniest moderators a panel can buy, authors' Nicole Peeler and Dakota Cassidy. I got a big HUG from J.A. Saare, who is the most soft spoken and adorable southern bell ever. I also got to meet with Allison Pang (YAY... for little unicorns), Theresa Meyers, Jennifer Estep, Carolyn Crane, Anya Bast, Monica Burns (who is so wonderfully sweet) and the incredible Nancy Holzner.
I had the opportunity to laugh again this year with the ever lovely Jess Haines! I was also so ecstatic to be reunited with all of the authors I met in 2010 including: Diana Castilleja, Bianca D'Arc, Eliza Gayle, Leanne Renee Hieber (always the best dressed), Stephanie Julian, Caridad Piñeiro (the life of the party), and Sylvia Day.
At the Lady Jane Salon I got to hear Lia Habel, Stella, Leanne and Jess Haines read! I covered my eyes at the Steampunk Sideshow with Kristen Painter. I had the pleasure of meeting with Anton Strout and Kris Cook. I also got to chat one-on-one with S. Reesa Herberth and Michelle Moore about promotion with Kendra Egert.
In addition to all of the fabulous authors I also got to meet, hug and chat with my blogger friends. Many whom I have known online since the beginning of my blog. It was great to meet with Tigris Eden, Mandi (Smexy Books), Spaz (Wicked Lil Pixie), Joy (Joyfully Reviewed), Twimom227 (That's What I'm Talking About), Vanessa (The Jeep Diva), Bells (Hanging With Bells) and Rayna (Naughty Editions).
I am certain I have left off someone or several someone's who I had the opportunity to meet in 2011. I truly enjoyed meeting with everyone and tried to say HI to all. I cannot wait for 2012 and look forward to meeting new friends and getting hugs from past friends.
